These Catrinas are made of baked clay by artisans from Capula, Michoacán, and represent female skeletons dressed in elegant and colorful outfits, with large, striking hats, feathers, and flowers. They are an artistic reinterpretation of death, presenting it not as something somber, but as a part of life, with a touch of elegance and festivity.
The Catrinas in the image are three stylized figures, each with a unique dress and hat design, dominated by vibrant colors and hand-painted details. They have a distinctive skull-like head, but with an expression that can be perceived as either smiling or enigmatic.
All of our Catrinas are handmade and decorated by hand, making each piece unique and subject to slight variations. These pieces measure 6" tall and 1.5" wide.
