Flowering Deer Alebrije.

This alebrije represents the deer as a sacred animal for pre-Hispanic cultures, as it was linked to the gods, the underworld, fertility, rain, and harmony.

It is a beautiful and unique piece carved in copal wood and carefully hand painted by its author with measurements of 6” high, 3.5” long and  4.5” wide.

It is covered in colorful and detailed decoration. Floral motifs predominate in shades of pink and purple with green leaves, as well as yellow and orange dots on a black background.

It features elements that make it a fantastical creature, such as unrealistic colors and abstract patterns. The large, expressive eyes with white and pink accents also contribute to this feeling.

The dedication to painting each element is also evident, from the flower petals to the small dots and lines that adorn the body, legs, and ears.
