Multicolor Xoloitzcuintle.

The Xoloitzcuintle is a very significant dog in Mexican culture, especially in pre-Hispanic civilizations such as the Aztecs and Zapotecs. It was considered a spiritual guide and a companion on the journey to Mictlán (the underworld).

The most striking feature of this Xoloitzcuintle alebrije is its incredible color and the profusion of hand-painted details. A wide variety of bright colors can be seen, such as the intense green that covers much of the body, contrasting with areas of pink, purple, yellow, and blue.

Stylized flowers with multiple petals and striking centers can be distinguished, as well as abstract designs covering every part of the animal.

The body, measuring 5" high, 5" long, and 2" wide, is decorated with intricate floral and geometric patterns, typical of the Oaxacan alebrije style.
